WESTBROOK THREE CLAW DOUBLE IPA RETURNING TO SHELVES

Westbrook Brewing Co.’s most famous double IPA will soon be returning.

That beer is Three Claw, an 8 percent double IPA brewed with a “generous application” of wheat and flaked oats in the mash as well asa “copious amounts” of Azacca, Citra, and El Dorado hops.

Westbrook originally released the 5.5 percent ABV rye pale ale known as One Claw in 2013, and it has since become a year-round release packaged in 12-ounce cans. Next came Two Claw, a “hopped up hazy IPA version” of One Claw that weighs in at 7 percent ABV and features the addition of Azacca, Galaxy and Mosaic hops.

According to a post on Westbrook’s Instagram page, the latest incarnation of Three Claw double IPA is packaged in four-packs of 16-ounce cans that is being canned now and will see distribution “mainly to South Carolina and North Carolina.”
