An IPA from DuClaw Brewing Co. is going to hammer your tastes buds with hops.

The beer is Hop Hammer, a 6.3 percent ABV IPA brewed with seven different hops: Amarillo, Equinox, Galaxy, hallertau melon, Mandarina Bavaria, Mosaic and Simcoe. The IPA features “multiple” hop additions late in the brewing process and was first released on-draft by the Baltimore, Md.-based brewery last month.

DuClaw Hop Hammer 12-Ounce Bottle Label

“DuClaw Brewmaster, Jim Wagner’s experiments with large hop additions late in the brew process resulted in this smooth, juicy IPA packed with vibrant hop  avors from beginning to end,” reads DuClaw’s marketing materials.

According to Laura Day, vp of sales at DuClaw, Hop Hammer will be packaged in six-packs of 12-ounce bottles and will be released “mostly in Maryland” starting on Sept. 12.
