Clown Shoes Beer is at it again, as it changes up one of its exclusive releases from last year.
The Ipswich, Mass.-based brewery will once again be releasing Ohio Unidragon, an 11.5 percent ABV Russian Imperial Stout that will be distributed exclusively in Ohio. However, this year’s version will be replacing the original peat smoked malt with rye malt and incorporates cascade and Columbus hops that were sourced from the Ohio Hop Growers Guild.
Ohio Unidragon is a variation of Clown Shoes’ popular Blaecorn Unidragon beer that was first released in 2014 as an Ohio state exclusive. Due to Ohio laws, beers that are distributed in the state are limited to an ABV of 12 percent and below; the regular release Blaecorn Unidragon features an ABV of 12.5 percent.
According to a label posted on the brewery’s Facebook page, Ohio Unidragon 2015 will be packaged in 22-ounce bombers and will be available in October exclusively in Ohio.
