AleSmith Brewing Co. is ringing in the holiday season with the release of its new beer, Noël.
Noël is a Belgian-style Christmas ale infused with myriad wintry spices and clocks in with an ABV of 12 percent. Noel’s recipe is based off of an award-winning Belgian-style quadruple first brewed in 2012.

“Belgian yeast esters provide flavors akin to dried figs, currants, dates and prunes against a full-bodied, bready, molasses backdrop brilliantly accented with holiday flavors akin to cinnamon, nutmeg and clove,” said Brandon Hernandez, AleSmith’s marketing manager.
Noël was brewed for Beer to the Rescue, a charity campaign supporting the Lupus Foundation of Southern California (LFSC).
It will make its debut on Friday, Dec. 11 in the brewery’s tasting room at a special release party starting at 4 p.m. Noël will be available on tap throughout San Diego County and a portion of the sales will be donated to the LFSC.
