A brand new creation from Heavy Seas Beer will be an “homage to the sweet and tart candies of Halloween.”
The Baltimore, Md.-based brewery is working on releasing Treat, a 7 percent ABV sour ale brewed with cherries before being packaged in 16-ounce cans.
“Treat was originally released in 2019 as one of our 15bbl brewhouse taproom exclusive beers,” said Sarah West, director of marketing and hospitality at Heavy Seas, in an email to Tenemu. “It was quite successful so we decided to bring it back as a limited offering for a few of the markets. We would’ve done this in 2020 but had to adjust our plan due to COVID-19.”
According to West, Treat is scheduled to released at retailers in the states of Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island in October.
