SAMUAL ADAMS FILES LABELS FOR TWO DIFFERENT UTOPIAS 2021 VARIANTS

After a year off, one of The Boston Beer Co.’s most unique creations will be returning in 2021 with two different versions.

According to labels filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), those beers are Samuel Adams Utopias Limited 2021 Edition, a 30 percent ABV ale brewed with maple syrup before being aged in barrels, and Samuel Adams Utopias Limited 2021 Cherry Edition, a 28 percent ABV ale brewed with maple syrup and cherries before being aged in barrels.

As has historically been the case, both variants will then be packaged and sold in custom-made 24-ounce decanters made by Ceramarte in Brazil.

\While the ale was first released by the Boston-based brewery in 2002, this will be only the thirteenth time the limited release has been sold. The 2019 incarnation of the limited release ale featured the same ABV as the newest base variant, but it was aged in aquavit, bourbon, muscat, ruby port, and white carcavelos barrels.

An email sent to the brewery for additional information was not immediately returned.
