A former release in New Glarus Brewing Co.’s Unplugged and Thumbprint Series has made a return.

As with previous releases, Imperial Weizen is a 9.6 percent ABV ale brewed with Wisconsin red wheat, New Glarus’ proprietary strain of Bavarian yeast and Cascade hops. The beer debuted in 2008 as part of the brewery’s Unplugged Series of limited releases and was rereleased in both 2011 and 2013.

According to a post on the New Glarus, Wis.-based brewery’s Instagram page, Imperial Weizen is packaged in four-packs of 12-ounce bottles and is available at the brewery now, with bottles scheduled to begin shipping to retailers in Wisconsin starting this week.
