With a nod to classic hops that start with the letter C, Firestone Walker Brewing Co. is bringing a new pale ale to the market.

C-Hops is a 5.5 percent ABV pale ale which is being released exclusively in its mixed Lion’s Share Hoppy 12-pack.

“We’re not sure if it’s a coincidence or conspiracy, but numerous ‘old school’ American hops begin with the third letter of the alphabet, including Cascade, Centennial, Chinook, Columbus, Crystal, Comet and Columbus,” says the Firestone Walker website.

The mixed 12-pack will include three 12-ounce bottles of each of the following beers:

  • C-Hops Pale Ale (5.5 percent ABV)
  • Union Jack IPA (7 percent ABV)
  • Easy Jack IPA (4.5 percent ABV)
  • Luponic Distortion (5.9 percent ABV)

According to a statement on the Firestone Walker Facebook page, the Lion’s Share Hoppy 12-pack is shipping across the breweries distribution network now.

An email sent to the brewery for additional information was not returned.
