Two months after a beer label was published, Wicked Weed Brewing has announced that its flagship IPA is almost ready to ship.

According to a post on the Asheville, N.C.-based brewery’s Facebook page, Pernicious, its 7.3 percent ABV IPA that is brewed with 2-row and pilsner malt as well as American and New Zealand hops, has been bottled and will be shipping to retailers in North Carolina in “several weeks.” Pernicious will be packaged in four-packs of 11.2-ounce bottles.

The name of the beer was changed from East Side or Die back in March to Pernicious, which comes from a quote supposedly uttered by King Henry VIII in the 16th century when he declared that hops were a “a wicked and pernicious weed.” East Side or Die was first released as a draft-only beer in lated 2014.
