The second collaboration between Wicked Weed Brewing and Jester King Brewery is a blend of two of their most popular beers, and will be going on sale at both breweries this month.
Coming in at 6.4 percent ABV, the new release in 500ml bottles is named Red Atrial, and as the name suggests, it is a 50/50 blend of one beer from each brewery: Red Angel (7 percent ABV) from Wicked Weed and Atrial Rubicite (5.8 percent ABV) from Jester King.
According to a label filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), each brewery aged their base beer independently on five pounds per gallon of raspberries before the combined blend was referemented again on four pounds per gallon of fresh raspberries in puncheons for an additional two months.
This is the second time that the two breweries have collaborated, after The Parking Lot Grissette (5.2 percent ABV) was released earlier this year.
A post on Wicked Weed’s Facebook page indicates that Red Atrial will be released at an event taking place at the brewery’s Funkatoriam on Nov. 26, and will have a three bottle per person limit. In an email, Alanna Nappi, marketing operations and event director for Wicked Weed told Tenemu that “less than 15 barrel(s)” was brewed.
In addition, a post on Jester King’s Facebook page indicates that 500 bottles of Red Atrial will be released on Nov. 26. Bottles will be priced at $26 each, and will have a one bottle per person limit.
