At least two variants of a popular annual release from Wicked Weed Brewing may be aged in two different barrels.

Those beers are Dark Arts 2019, a 15 percent ABV imperial stout brewed with brettanomyces that has been aged in both port wine barrels and Tennessee whiskey barrels; and Coffee Dark Arts 2019, a 14.5 percent ABV imperial stout brewed with brettanomyces that has been aged in both port wine barrels and Tennessee whiskey barrels with the addition of coffee sourced from Mountain Air Roasting in Asheville, N.C. Dark Arts debuted in 2014 and was the first beer to reach the 15 percent ABV legal cap in the state of North Carolina.

According to labels filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), Dark Arts 2019 and Coffee Dark Arts 2019 will both be packaged in 500ml bottles.

An email sent to the brewery for additional information was not immediately returned.
