No fruit was harmed in the making of a new collaboration between Wicked Weed Brewing and Athens, Ga.-based Creature Comforts Brewing Co. that is being released this weekend.

The new beer is named Juiceless, a 7.7 percent ABV IPA that “cracked the juicy code without using any fruit.” The IPA was brewed at Asheville, N.C.-based Wicked Weed.

“Is it hoppy? Of course,” reads the beer label. “Smooth? Certainly. Juicy? THE JUICIEST. Made with fruit? NO. ABSOLUTELY NOT. ALL the fruit flavor, all from the hops. This beer IS what it ISN’T.”

According to a post on Wicked Weed’s Instagram account, Juiceless is packaged in 500ml bottles and is being released on Aug. 27 at Wicked Weed’s Funkatorium before hitting distribution in both Georgia and North Carolina next week.
