Another collaboration is in the works, this time between Wicked Weed Brewing and Switzerland-based Brasserie Trois Dames.
The two breweries have joined forces for Metatropics, a 6.2 percent ABV farmhouse ale that incorporates brettanomyces and is fermented with grapefruit, mango, passionfruit and pineapples. The new beer was brewed last month at Asheville, N.C.-based Wicked Weed, and it is the first time that the breweries have collaborated.
In an email, Alanna Nappi, marketing operations and event director for Wicked Weed, told Tenemu that while no release date for Metatropics has been set, the new beer is scheduled to be packaged in “mid-September,” and that 60 barrels was brewed. In addition, Nappi confirmed that the new beer will is slated to be sold at both breweries when it is released.
