According to a label filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), Wicked Weed Brewing is working on bringing a variant of one of its cherry sours back to the market.

Chocolate Covered Black Angel is a 6.5 percent “dark sour ale” that has been aged in bourbon barrels with Montmorency cherries and cacao nibs before being packaged in 500ml bottles. The base beer is the Asheville, N.C.-based brewrey’s Black Angel, which debuted in 2013.

“We take our base Black Angel recipe and add an additional 2 pounds per gallon of Montmorency Cherries and 100 pounds of cacao nibs from our friends and neighbors at French Broad Chocolates”, says a post from a previous years release on Wicked Weed’s website.

An email to the brewery was not returned.
