Wicked Weed Brewing has bottled a new La Bonté blend, this time incorporating figs.

The Asheville, N.C.-based brewery announced on it’s Instagram page that it released La Bonté Fig, a 6.5 percent ABV “tart farmhouse ale” that was “open fermented with our house Brettanomyces culture” before being blended with “a portion of Golden Sour” before being conditioned on half pound per gallon of whole figs. According to the brewery, the finished brew was then aged in folders until it reached “perfection” and packaged in 500ml bottles.

The new incarnation was first released as a draft-only option early this and uses the brewery’s La Bonté farmhouse ale (5 percent ABV) as its base. There have been variations of the beer released before using different fruits, including apricots, pears and plums.

According to Wicked Weed’s Instagram page, La Bonté Fig was released yesterday and is now on sale at The Funkatorium and The Brewpub.
