Wichita Brewing Co. will soon be packaging two of its beers in cans.
The first is 5:02 Amber Ale, the 5.8 percent ABV amber ale it has brewed since it first opened.
Brewer Ned Vanholtz said that 5:02 amber should be available in cans “by the end of July, depending on when the shipment of labeled cans is ready.” The classic amber ale will be available year round.
Also heading to cans will be V12, the brewery’s imperial IPA.
“It’s basically a beefed up version of our What About Bob IPA,” said Vanholtz, adding that with a new hop bill consisting of Calypso and Summit hops.
The canned version will be slightly different from the normal version which clocks in at 9.45 percent ABV.
V12 will be packaged in 16-ounce cans and is scheduled to be released in late August to early September release. The cans will be a seasonal release.
