Just four months after opening the first in-house brewery located in a grocery store, Whole Foods Market Brewing Co. has brewed a collaboration with fellow Houston brewery Buffalo Bayou Brewing Co.
The resulting beer is Whole Buffalo Saison, a 7 percent ABV saison that incorporates Texas grapefruit and coriander along with hops from Germany, New Zealand and the U.S. Five barrels of the saison was brewed when Buffalo Bayou head brewer Ryan Robertson visited the Whole Foods Market Brewing Co. on Feb. 10.

Dave Ohmer, the head brewmaster at Whole Foods Market Brewing Co., told Tenemu that the Whole Buffalo Saison will be a draft-only release and exclusively available at the Post Oak Whole Foods in Houston, where the brewery is based. It will be released for the first time at a beer dinner on March 5 that will feature Buffalo Bayou beers and will be served at the Whole Foods starting on March 6.
