Almanac Beer Co. will be adding Whiskey Barrel Wild Ale to its Farm To Barrel Series. The 9 percent ABV imperial stout that has been aged in Woodford Reserve bourbon barrels and conditioned on bing cherries and orange peel zest.
According to filings with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) Whiskey Barrel Wild Ale will be bottled in October and will be packaged in 375ml bottles.
The San Jose, Calif.-based brewery’s popular Farm to Barrel Series began in 2013 with Barrel Noir imperial stout (10 percent ABV) and now encompasses more than 20 different releases.
