Weyerbacher Brewing Co. turns 21 this year, and to celebrate its anniversary, the brewery is releasing a special beer.
The new beer in question is named 21, a 11.9 percent ABV imperial stout brewed with Munich malts, cocoa nibs, cocoa powder and vanilla beans before being aged in bourbon barrels.
According to Weyerbacher’s description, 21 is meant to replicate the flavor of a chocolate cake with bourbon bacon icing. It will be packaged in 12-ounce bottles and is scheduled to be released at Weyerbacher’s 21st Bash on June 25, with bottles being sent to retailers across the brewery’s distribute network soon after.
