A new beer from Westbrook Brewing Co. is named after a very specific bird.

According to filings with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), the new beer is Leopold, a 6 percent ABV sour ale aged in sauternes wine casks for 12 months before conditioning it on both apricots and peaches. Leopold was the name given to a hawk that visited the Mt. Pleasant, S.C.-based brewery for a few days over the winter.

Leopold will be packaged in 750ml bottles. An email sent to the brewery for information regarding a release date, brewing details and distribution information was not immediately returned.
