According to labels filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), there are two new barrel-aged beers in the works at Westbrook Brewing Co.

The first new beer from the Mt. Pleasant S.C.-based brewery is Jaune, an 8.2 percent ABV Belgian-style tripel ale that was aged for two years in “dry sherry barrels.” The ale was packaged in 750ml bottles on July 7.

Next is Joie, a 7 percent ABV mixed fermentation saison-style ale that was aged for one year in Sauternes wine barrels. This beer was packaged in 750ml bottles on Nov. 18, 2016.

An email sent to Westbrook seeking further release information was not immediately returned.
