News of the latest release from of Westbrook Brewing Co. won’t make fans blue.
The Mt. Pleasant, S.C.-based brewery has released Blueberry Weisse Weisse Baby, a 4 percent ABV German-style berliner weisse that was aged on two pounds per gallon of blueberries for four months in second and third use wine barrels before being bottled. The new beer uses the brewery’s Weisse Weisse Baby (4 percent ABV) as a base, which debuted in 2013.
This is the fourth incarnation of Weisse Weisse Baby:
- Westbrook Weisse Weisse Baby (4 percent ABV)
- Westbrook Lemon Coconut Weisse Weisse Baby (4 percent ABV)
- Westbrook Whiskey Sour Ale Weisse Weisse Baby (4.5 percent ABV)
- Westbrook Blueberry Weisse Weisse Baby (4 percent ABV)
According to a post on Westbrook’s Facebook page, Blueberry Weisse Weisse Baby is packaged in 750ml bottles ($14) and is currently for sale at the brewery, with a “very limited” number of bottles hitting distribution.
