There is a new Mexican Cake variant from Westbrook Brewing Co., but in order to enjoy it, you are going to have to visit the brewery and put down some serious cash.

The beer is 2016 Barrel-Aged Mexican Cake Reserva, 10.5 percent ABV imperial stout brewed with bourbon barrel-aged maple syrup, Tahitian vanilla, Valhrona cocoa nibs, Ceylon cinnamon, and fresh habaneros before being aged in Pappy Van Winkle bourbon barrels for 18 months. As the name suggests, the new stout uses the Mount Pleasant, S.C.-based brewery’s Mexican Cake (10.5 percent ABV) as its base, although the regular Mexican Cake is not brewed with bourbon barrel-aged maple syrup.

According to a post on Westbrook’s Facebook page, 2016 Barrel-Aged Mexican Cake Reserva is packaged in 22-ounce bottles and is being sold for exclusively at the brewery priced at $200 per bottle for on-site consumption only.
