There is a new panther in town.

Westbrook Brewing Co. has released bottles of Rum Barrel Aged Siberian Black Magic Panther, a 12 percent ABV imperial stout brewed with roasted malts and dark candi syrup before being aged in Nicaraguan Flor de Caña barrels rum barrels for approximately 12 months. The beer uses the Mt. Pleasant, S.C.-based brewery’s Siberian Black Magic Panther as its base, and was released as a draft-only option over the summer.

This is the fourth incarnation of Siberian Black Magic Panther to be bottled:

  • Siberian Black Magic Panther (12 percent ABV)
  • Apple Brandy Barrel-Aged Siberian Black Magic Panther (12 percent ABV)
  • Bourbon Barrel-Aged Siberian Black Magic Panther (12 percent ABV)
  • Rum Barrel-Aged Siberian Black Magic Panther (12 percent ABV)

According to a post on Westbrook’s Instagram page, Rum Barrel Aged Siberian Black Magic Panther is packaged in 22-ounce bottles ($20) and was released at the brewery this weekend with a six bottle per person limit. In addition, a spokesman for Westbrook told Tenemu in an email that bottles would be “very minimally distributed.”
