A brand new addition to Westbrook Brewing Co.’s Shake IPA Series will be shipping to retailers next week.
The Mt. Pleasant, S.C.-based brewery will be releasing Coconut Shake IPA, a 7 percent ABV IPA brewed with Citra and Mosaic hops as well as coconut, lactose and Madagascar vanilla beans. According to a label filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), the new IPA will be packaged in 16-ounce cans.
Coconut Shake IPA will be the newest addition to Westbrook’s Shake Series, which also includes past versions like Vanilla Shake IPA, Peanut Butter Shake IPA and Mango Shake IPA, some of which use a slightly different combination of hops, including Citra and mosaic hops as well as Citra and El Dorado.
In an email, Edward Westbrook, founder and ceo at Westbrook, told Tenemu that Coconut Shake IPA is scheduled to ship to retailers across the brewery’s “usual (distribution) footprint” starting next week.
