Residents of Greeley, Colo. will have a few more options this year when deciding which beers to bring to the Thanksgiving dinner table.
WeldWerks Brewing Co. will release three new beers at noon on Wednesday, November 22, all of which will be available in 16-ounce cans.
First up is Cherry Cobbler Berliner, a 4.2 percent ABV berliner weisse based on the popular holiday dessert. This kettle sour is brewed with tart pie cherries, sweet black cherries, lactose and vanilla beans. WeldWerks previously had success with Key Lime Pie Berliner and decided to try another pastry style this go-around.
Also available is Chocolate Pecan Pie Stout, the newest beer in WeldWerks’ #pastrystout Series. The base is an imperial milk stout brewed with chocolate malt and lactose. But for this version, baker’s chocolate, cacao nibs, toasted pecans, candied pecans and graham cracker are all added to the recipe. Chocolate Pecan Pie Stout clocks in at 7.4 percent ABV.
The final release is Amarillo Basic Bits, an 8.4 percent ABV single-hop New England-style double IPA. It is brewed with pale malt and flaked oats, and has 8 pounds of Amarillo hops per barrel.
The three new beers will also be on tap in addition to the four-packs. Limits and pricing for each beer have not yet been determined according to the WeldWerks event page.
