Weldwerks Brewing Co. has just the beers for fans to drink on Valentine’s Day.
Amore Achromatic is an imperial stout brewed with “a ridiculous amount” of blackberry, raspberry and strawberry purée; the brewery then conditioned the finished beer on both cacao nibs and milk chocolate. While stout was first sold as a draft-only option in early 2016, this is the first time it has been bottled.
The imperial stout is the latest of the Greeley, Colo.-based brewery’s Achromatic variants to be bottled, with past releases including Coffee Maple Achromatic, S’mores Achromatic and Peanut Butter Cup Achromatic. According to a post on Weldwerks Facebook page, Amore Achromatic will be packaged in 22-ounce bottles ($15) and will have a purchase limit of three bottles per person when it goes on sale at the brewery on Feb. 9.
In addition, Weldwerks will be releasing three additional beers in four-packs of 16-ounce cans:
- Mosaic Basic Bits IPA, a 6.8 percent ABV IPA brewed with mosaic hops
- Black Forest Cake Stout, a 7.3 percent ABV milk stout brewed with lactose, black cherries and milk chocolate
- Fruity Bits Mango Milkshake, a 7.5 percent ABV IPA brewed with lactose, mango purée and vanilla
Prices and purchase limits for the three new canned beers will be posted closer to the release date.
