Victory Brewing Co. will be releasing the fifth IPA in its Moving Part Series which started in 2014.
According to a beer label filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) the newest incarnation in the series for the Downingtown, Pa.-based brewery, Moving Parts 05, is a 6.5 percent ABV “New Zealand-Style” IPA. The Moving Parts series gets its name from the fact that every release features the same basic IPA recipe, but each beer has slightly different ingredients and varying the levels of malts, yeasts or hop varieties.
“We like to mix it up. New flavors, new ideas, new ingredients; we welcome them all,” reads the beer label. “In celebration of our penchant for prolific experimentation, we present Moving Parts: The Ever-Evolving IPA. Each release in this series celebrates a tweaked ingredient or two, creating an endless array of possible flavor profiles.”
The first beer in the series, Moving Parts 01 (7.1 percent ABV), featured American, English and Czech hop varieties as well as German malts while Moving Parts 02 (6.4 percent ABV) incorporated pilsner, medium crystal, pale crystal and carapils malts along with styrian goldings, ekg and brawling cross hops. Moving Parts 03 (6.6 percent ABV) was brewed with pilsner, pale crystal and carapils malts as well as tettnanger tettnang and citra hops while Moving Parts 04 (7 percent ABV), featuring pilsner malt, wheat and oats along with mosaic and mandarina hops.
As with the rest of the releases in the series, Moving Parts 05 will be packaged in 22-ounce bottles and on draft. An email sent to the brewery for additional details was not returned.
