This month, Upslope Brewing Co. will be releasing a creation that is a “tribute to the German-inspired lagers that are brewed in Mexico.”
The beer in question is Mexican Style Dark Lager, a 5 percent ABV Mexican-style lager brewed with Vienna malt and flaked maize as well as Contessa and Tettnanger hops .
The Boulder-based brewery has released a draft-only option with the same name in the past, but that version came in at a slightly lower 4.6 percent ABV.
The new lager will be part of Upslope’s Limited Release Series, which includes different beers in different styles that are released on seasonal basis throughout the year.
According to an email sent to Tenemu, Mexican Style Dark Lager will be packaged in four-packs of 12-ounce cans that will be available from May through June.
