Each quarter of the year, Upslope Brewing Co. releases a beer in its Lee Hill Series, a line of small batch beers meant for the cellar.
Upslope revealed in an email it will host a release party for Volume 16: Tropical Fruit Sour Ale on Thursday, May 24 at its Lee Hill location in Boulder, Colo.
Volume 16 is based on POG juice, a classic Hawaiian juice blend. It’s a golden sour blended with over 500 pounds of passion fruit, blood orange and guava that clocks in at 7.2 percent ABV. The base beer is made up of four different sour projects ranging from six months to two years old.
On the release day, 19.2-ounce cans will be available for $10 each, with a limit of six per person. The price will increase the next day to a non-specified amount. The event begins at 5 p.m and ends at 9 p.m.
