Next week, the state of Utah is getting an exclusive release from Upslope Brewing Co.

The beer in question is Belgian-Style Blonde, a 4 percent ABV Belgian-style blonde ale brewed with pink guava puree, pilsner malt, white wheat and East Kent Golding hops. In addition, the ale meets Utah’s requirement to be sold in both convenient and grocery stores, meaning that Upslope beer will be be available at any retail location that sells beer and wine in the state.

“The brewing team was tasked with creating a flavorful beer for the Utah market and we went through extensive trials to determine the best ingredients for an ultra ‘sessionable’ beer,” said Sam Scruby, head brewer at Upslope, in a press release. “We loved the fusion of Belgian yeast esters and the savory tropical sweetness of pink guava.”

According to the Boulder, Colo.-based brewery, Belgian-Style Blonde will be packaged in 12-ounce cans and is scheduled to be sold exclusively in the state of Utah starting next week.
