A new addition to Upslope Brewing Co.’s series of creations that celebrates the brewery’s original facility is a variant of a creation that was released last year.

Lee Hill Series Volume 26: Wild Christmas Ale With Citrus and Cinnamon is a 9.4 percent ABV blend or sour ales aged in both oak barrels and a French oak foeder before being conditioned on bergamot orange juice, orange zest and Saigon cinnamon  for two months. According to a label filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), the new ale will be packaged into 19.2-ounce cans on Oct. 16.

As the name indicates, the new beer is the latest release in the Boulder, Colo. brewery’s Lee Hill Series, which commemorates the original brewery location at Lee Hill in Boulder which is now used to produce small batch releases.

This is the second time that Upslope has released a beer using the “Wild Christmas Ale” moniker in as many years, after Wild Christmas Ale with Colorado Plums, a 9.4 percent ABV oak foader-aged wild ale aged on over a thousand pounds of Colorado-grown red plums was released last year.

Am email sent to the brewery for additional information was not immediately retuned.
