Upland Brewing Co. has used a number of fruits in it beers, but a new one is one the way.

The Bloomington, Ind.-based brewery will be releasing Black Raspberry, a sour ale aged in oak wine barrels wit fresh black raspberries from Heartland Family Farms in Spencer, Ind. The base beer is Upland’s Sour Reserve, a sour ale which is made up of a blend of beers aged in barrels of different ages.

“Our local friends at Heartland Family Farms grew an extra amount of less tart, less sweet, more fruity black raspberries with a distinct flavor,” reads the beer label filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB). “Take a bottle down the B-Line Trail, up the Monon Trail, or wherever great paths take you to share with fellow travelers.”

According to the beer label, Black Raspberry will be packaged in 750ml bottles. An email sent to the brewery for additional details was not returned.
