Two Roads Brewing Co.’s newest release uses peels from the outside of an inedible fruit.

Bergamonster is an 8.2 percent ABV unfiltered “Uber wheat ale” brewed with Bergamot orange peels, raw wheat and spices along with “New and old World hops.” The newest release is part of the Stratford, Conn.-based brewery’s Road Less Traveled Series, which includes beers that incorporate more obscure ingredients as well as higher alcohol contents.

According to filings with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), the new limited release will be packaged in 750ml bottles. An email sent to the brewery for additional details was not immediately returned.
