The second barrel-aged stout that Turning Point Beer ever released is making a comeback today, albeit with some minor changes.
Endgame 2020 is a 16.2 percent ABV imperial stout aged in bourbon barrels between 12-16 months and conditioned on cacao nibs and Madagascar vanilla beans. The original Endgame was released in April 2019, but that version came in at a slightly lower 15.4 percent ABV due to a slightly different blend of barrels used to age the stout.
In addition, James Peery, co-owner of Turning Point, told Tenemu in a phone conversation that while the amount of adjuncts used in the new version is the same as the original, there is a slight increase in the body of Endgame 2020 due to small changes made in the base stout’s recipe.
According to a post on Turning Point’s Facebook page, Endgame 2020 will be packaged in 500ml waxed bottles ($21) and will have a six bottle per person purchase limit when it goes on sale exclusively at the brewery today.
