The newest barrel-aged collaboration between Turning Point Beer and Martin House Brewing Co. was inspired by the flavors found in cherry pie.
That newest release is Welcome to the Main Stage, a 16.2 percent ABV imperial stout aged in a blend of cherry brandy barrels, bourbon barrels and maple barrels before being conditioned on both cinnamon and vanilla.
The two breweries have joined forces before, most recently on Stifler’s Mom, a 16.2 percent ABV imperial stout aged for between 11-14 months in three types of barrels: apple brandy barrels, bourbon barrels and maple barrels. The stout was then conditioned on a combination of vanilla and cinnamon before being bottled.
According to a post on Turning Point’s Facebook page, Welcome to the Main Stage is packaged in 500ml waxed bottles ($21) and will have have an eight bottle per person purchase limit when it goes on sale exclusively at the brewery on April 24.
