Turning Point Beer’s newest barrel-aged creation is the strongest beer it has ever released.

The newest release is Do Not Adjust the Contrast, a 16.5 percent ABV imperial stout brewed with cacao nibs and “a generous helping” of whole Madagascar vanilla beans. In a text conversation, James Peery, co-owner of Turning Point, told Tenemu that the stout was aged in bourbon barrels for between 11-15 months and that there was double the amount of vanilla beans in this beer compared to Endgame.

This will be the fifth barrel-aged stout to be sold in bottles by the Bedford, Texas-based brewery:

According to Peery, Do Not Adjust the Contrast will be packaged in 500ml waxed bottles ($22) and will have have a six bottle per person purchase limit when it goes on sale exclusively at the brewery on Sept. 7.
