Tröegs Independent Brewing will be releasing the newest incarnation of Nugget Nectar next month, along with a never before seen variant.

As with previous versions, Nugget Nectar is a 7.5 percent ABV imperial amber ale brewed with nugget, Palisade, Simcoe, tomahawk and Warrior hops. The ale debuted in 2004 packaged in 12-ounce bottles, with the brewery adding 22-ounce bottles in 2014 and 16-ounce cans in 2015.

In addition, Tröegs will be debuting Nitro Nugget Nectar during First Squeeze events at locations throughout its distribution footprint starting on Jan. 10. As the name indicates, Nitro Nugget Nectar is a new variant that replaces the CO2 used in the beer with nitrogen.

“In order to make sure we are shipping the freshest Nugget Nectar possible to all of our markets, we need to release it in waves,” reads a post on the company website.

According to the brewery, the release schedule for Nugget Nectar 2018 will be:

Jan. 8 – Ohio & Pennsylvania (Lehigh Valley, South Central, Philadelphia)
Jan. 15 – New Jersey & Pennsylvania (Remaining Areas)
Jan. 22  – Delaware, New York City, Maryland and Washington D.C.
