In April, Trillium Brewing Co. and Omnipollo collaborated for the first time on a beer named Outside the Lines, and today a barrel-aged version of that beer is being released.

The new beer is the appropriately named Barrel-Aged Outside The Lines, a 12.7 percent ABV imperial stout brewed with Madagascar bourbon vanilla beans, green cardamom and cold brewed medium roast coffee from Barrington Coffee Roasting Co. in Lee, Mass. before being aged in Heaven Hill bourbon barrels for six months. The imperial stout was brewed at Boston-based Trillium in April, and the base beer was released in 22-ounce bottles on July 8, but his is the first time the barrel-aged version has been packaged.
