Right after it opens today, Trillium Brewing Co. will be releasing Permutation Series Number Twenty Three, an imperial stout aged in bourbon barrels for eight months before adding “a heavy dose” of cold-brewed Italian Roast coffee sourced from Barrington Coffee and Madagascar bourbon vanilla beans. Trillium has incorporated Barrington coffee into a number of its stouts over the years, including Affogato, PM Dawn and Night & Day.

The new beer is the newest addition to Trillium’s Permutation Series, which is made up of an “experimental series of small batch offerings, showcasing the unique visions and innovative concepts developed by our brewing and cellar crew.”

According to a post on the Boston-based brewery’s Instagram account, Permutation Series Number Twenty Three is packaged in 750ml bottles ($24.05) with a one bottle per person purchase limit and is on sale at both of Trillium’s facilities today.
