A collaboration between Trillium Brewing Co. and Horus Aged Ales was inspired by childhood memories of sesame and honey candy.

Sesame Candy is an imperial stout brewed with black sesame, raw wildflower honey, Tahini, toasted sesame and vanilla beans. The stout was brewed with Kyle Harrop of Horus Aged Ales at Trillium in August of this year.

“Reminiscing about childhood, and the treats that we would find at our grandmothers’ houses, JC remembered the sesame and honey candies that his memere used to have,” reads a post on Trillium’s Facebook page. “Striking a really interesting balance between rich savoriness and sweetness, we began to explore how we could realize this experience in a beer.”

According to Trillium, Sesame Candy is packaged in 22-ounce bottles ($24.05) with a one bottle per person limit purchase limit and can be purchased online at this website now. Orders can be picked up starting on Nov. 13 and there will be no proxies allowed.
