Fans who missed out on the first release of two of Toppling Goliath Brewing Co.’s most popular creations earlier this year will have another chance to buy bottles this month.
That is because the brewery is releasing additional bottles of year’s incarnation of Assassin as well as this years version of Mornin’ Delight at its taproom and brewery located in Decorah, Iowa on Nov. 9 during Stout Stock 2019. They will join at least one other stout that has already been announced as being released at the event, namely Stout Hawk, an imperial stout conditioned on aged on Geisha coffee beans sourced from Mostra Coffee, roasted pecans and vanilla beans that was brewed in collaboration with Horus Aged Ales.
Assassin 2019 is a 12 percent ABV imperial stout aged in whiskey barrels debuted in 2012 and was last sold on March 30 of this year, when 22-ounce bottles of the barrel-aged stout were sold for $50 each with attendees at the release limited to one bottle each.
Mornin’ Delight 2019 is a 12 percent ABV imperial stout brewed with coffee and maple syrup and was last sold on Aug. 17, when attendees paid $100 for a package that included two 22-ounce bottles of Mornin’ Delight 2019, a custom Mornin’ Delight 2019 glass and one pour of Mornin’ Delight 2019 during the reelase event.
According to a post on Toppling Goliath’s Twitter page and an event post on the brewery’s Facebook page, the second release of Assassin 2019 will consist of 22-ounce bottles priced at $50 each with a one bottle per person purchase limit while the second release of Mornin’ Delight 2019 will consist of 22-ounce bottles with a purchase limit of three bottles per person. In addition, bottles of Barrel Slayer Barre-Aged Stout will be on sale with a one bottle per person purchase limit.
