Details have emerged about Toppling Goliath Brewing Co.’s ticket sale for one of its most popular barrel-aged stouts.

A post on the Decorah, Iowa-based brewery’s Twitter page indicates that tickets for Assassin 2019 will go on sale on Feb. 19 at 11 am CST via etix.com. According to that site, there will be four different sessions, with tickets priced at $6 each.

In an email, Clark Lewey, owner of Toppling Goliath, told Tenemu that Assassin 2019 will be be packaged in 22-ounce bottles priced at $50 each, with attendees at the release events limited to one bottle each. According to Lewey, there is also the possibility of additional variants of the stout being made available during the release event, although details are still being finalized.

Assassin is Toppling Goliath’s 12 percent ABV imperial stout aged in whiskey barrels has historically been packaged in 22-ounce bottles and has either been released alone or packaged with Kentucky Brunch Brand Stout (KBBS.)

Last year’s release of Assassin 2018 was priced at $100 and determined by an online lottery that ended on Jan. 26, the winners of which are entitled to two 22-ounce bottles of the imperial stout.
