The label and name for a new collaboration between Toppling Goliath Brewing Co. and Horus Aged Ales was inspired by a famous 1942 painting.

Stout Hawk is an imperial stout conditioned on aged on Geisha coffee beans sourced from Mostra Coffee, roasted pecans and vanilla beans. The name references the painting “Nighthawks” by American artist Edward Hopper which portrays people sitting in a diner late at night.

According to a post on Toppling Goliath’s Twitter page, Stout Hawks will be packaged in 22-ounce bottles ($40) and will have a three bottle per person purchase limit when it is released exclusively at the Decorah, Iowa-based brewery on Nov. 9.
