The day has come.

In a tweet at 12:27 a.m. this morning, Toppling Goliath Brewing Co. announced the newest version of SR-71 would go on sale today at 11 a.m. at its brewery in Deborah, Iowa with 400 bottles available and a purchase limit of one bottle per person.

First released in 2013, SR-71 is an imperial stout aged in bourbon barrels and packaged in 22-ounce bottles.

Toppling Goliath had been teasing the release for months and brewery founder Clark Lewey told Tenemu in an email earlier this month that the stout would be sold via a silent release, with “one clue on twitter (at midnight) the night before the release.”

With the announcement, three of the four most popular stouts have either been released or have release dates: Assassin 2018 was released on March 31 via online lottery and Morning Delight 2018 is scheduled to be sold on Aug. 25, while Kentucky Brunch Brand Stout (KBBS) 2018 has been confirmed to have a release at some point this year.
