For fans of Toppling Goliath Brewing Co.’s most famous coffee and maple stout, today is a big day.

That is because Morning Delight 2018 is being released today at Toppling Goliath’s new taproom located in Decorah, Iowa. The 12 percent ABV imperial stout brewed with coffee and maple syrup was first released as a draft-only option in 2011 and was packaged in 12-ounce bottles in 2013, while the 2015 and 2016 incarnations were sold in 22-ounce bottles.

Tickets to the release event sold out almost instantly after they were put online on July 10, with this year’s package priced at $100 and includes a two-pack of 22-ounce bottles, one branded glass and one pour of the stout.

In addition, for the first time purchasers were able to buy a “guest ticket” to the release event that allows each guest to also purchase a $100 package of their own, although the name of each guest had to be provided at the time of the original purchase of the tickets and are not be able to be changed for any reason.

Last year’s version was released on Aug. 19, 2017 and packaged in a set priced at $100 that included one four-pack of waxed 12-ounce bottles, two glasses and one pour of the stout with only 2,000 sets available.
