Toppling Goliath Brewing Co. has opened online lottery submissions for a package containing some of the most anticipated barrel-aged stouts of the year, and for the first time fans will not have to travel to Iowa to get them.
A post on the Decorah, Iowa-based brewery’s Twitter page indicates that a sign-up for a ticket raffle that will give winners the option to purchase an Assassin 2020 package is now live at this website and will remain open until April 15 at 11:59pm CST. Each person will be limited to one entry.

However, while an original online lottery that was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic last month made no direct mention of variants, it turns out that winners will be getting multiple beers as well as three different versions of Assassin 2020, including one variant that has never been bottled before.
Each Assassin 2020 Package will cost $225 and will include:
- Two 22-ounce bottles of Assassin 2020
- One 12-ounce bottle of Vanilla Bean Assassin 2019
- One 12-ounce bottle of Coconut Assassin 2019
- One 22-ounce bottle of Norseman’s Wrath Imperial Stout
- One 22-ounce bottle of Zeelander IPA

Winners will begin getting emails that include a “unique individual code the will allow them to pre-purchase their Assassin 2020 Package online” on April 16. In addition, for the first time in Toppling Goliath’s history, bottles of Assassin 2020 can be picked up by a proxy chosen by lottery winners.
Assassin is Toppling Goliath’s 12 percent ABV imperial stout aged in whiskey barrels has historically been packaged in 22-ounce bottles and has either been released alone or packaged with Kentucky Brunch Brand Stout (KBBS.)
According to the brewery, winners of the online lottery will be able to choose pick-up times and dates between May 1 and May 31, 2020.
