Toppling Goliath Brewing Co. has confirmed that one of its most popular creations will be returning next year.
Kentucky Brunch Brand Stout (KBBS) is a 12 percent ABV imperial stout brewed with coffee aged in bourbon barrels that debuted in 2012. The stout was last released earlier this year, when it was packaged with the brewery’s Assassin barrel-aged imperial stout (12 percent ABV) and sold to 1,000 winners of an online lottery.
“We will be having at least a small release of #KBBS in 2018,” reads a post on the Decorah, Iowa-based brewery’s Twitter page. “Some barrels are ready!”
Past incarnations of the Kentucky Brunch Brand Stout have been packaged in 12-ounce bottles sold exclusively at the brewery and have sold for more than $1,000 on the secondary market. In addition, there has been no mention of a new version of the brewery’s Assassin imperial stout.
An email sent to the brewery for additional brewing and release information was not immediately returned.
