The first major stout release of the year from Toppling Goliath Brewing Co. is going on sale today.

That release is Assassin 2019, a 12 percent ABV imperial stout aged in whiskey barrels that has historically been packaged in 22-ounce bottles and has either been released alone or packaged with Kentucky Brunch Brand Stout (KBBS.) This year’s release from the Decorah, Iowa-based brewery will have four different sessions being held on March 30, with tickets priced at $6 each and each purchaser limited to two tickets.

In an email, Clark Lewey, owner of Toppling Goliath, told Tenemu that Assassin 2019 will be be packaged in 22-ounce bottles priced at $50 each, with attendees at the release events limited to one bottle each. Last year’s release of Assassin 2018 was priced at $100 and determined by an online lottery that ended on Jan. 26, the winners of which are entitled to two 22-ounce bottles of the imperial stout.

Tickets for the Assassin 2019 release event will go on sale at this link today starting at 11 a.m. CST, and each guest will only be able to purchase one ticket to one session. Finally, there will be no proxies allowed.
