Fans waiting for this year’s incarnation of Toppling Goliath Brewing Co.’s famous coffee maple imperial stout now know the date they will be able to purchase it.
According to a post on Decorah, Iowa-based brewery’s Twitter page, the release for Mornin’ Delight 2020 is set for Aug. 14. The 12 percent ABV imperial stout brewed with coffee and maple syrup was first released as a draft-only option in 2011.

While pricing information has not yet been announced, tickets to last year’s release were obtained by entering an online lottery on July 8, 2019. Winners whose names were randomly chosen were then given the opportunity to purchase one $10 ticket to the release event priced at $100 that included two 22-ounce bottles of Mornin’ Delight 2019, a custom Mornin’ Delight 2019 glass and one pour of Mornin’ Delight 2019 during the event.
After its debut on draft in 2011, the imperial stout was packaged in 12-ounce bottles in 2013, while the 2015 and 2016 incarnations were sold in 22-ounce bottles. However, the 2017 incarnation was packaged in a set priced at $100 that included one four-pack of waxed 12-ounce bottles, two glasses and one pour of the stout with only 2,000 sets available and the 2018 release was priced at $100 and included a two-pack of 22-ounce bottles, one branded glass and one pour of the stout.
An email sent to the brewery for additional information was not immediately returned.
